Our own unique Keyboard OS

Updated: Jul 29, 2021

Today we are going to talk a bit about the firmware for keyboards. It may sound strange, but still, there is no universal firmware for keyboards!

It is not a secret that most keyboards, especially inexpensive ones, use very weak processors for cramming the OS into them, and the average user does not need this at all.

Many popular brands manufacture expensive keyboards, including split ones, but their functionality often does not differ from cheap 5 dollar keyboards. In case we need to expand the keyboard's functionality, the drivers will help us. All settings are stored on the PC and not on the keyboard itself. There are even cases when everything you need is already there, and it turns out that there is simply nothing to install since there is no choice. There is also a separate subspecies of custom mechanical keyboards, where manufacturers try to write something on their own or use QMK. QMK stands for an online tool used for easily creating firmware files for keyboards. It was started as a pet project, and over the past ten years, it has become very much clogged.

Initially, we also tried to introduce changes to the QMK. Still, the heavy clutter and complete inability to accommodate split keyboards made reworking the QMK for our needs a tremendous challenge. As a result, after many months of experiments, we realized that creating our own Keyboard OS for split keyboards would be at least faster and cheaper, and in addition to that, better quality than trying to remake something else.

Within the last 1.5 years that we have been creating our own Keyboard OS, we have become the best in the market. It is compatible enough to use with different processors and vendors and customize modular structures based on FreeRTOS. We already had the experience of changing three processors, and we spent less than a month on each transition.

With great pleasure, we would like to highlight the tremendous performance of our Keyboard OS. In in-game mode, all security and encryption add-ons are disabled, and keystrokes are processed within honest 2-3 ms. It means the time from pressing a key to receiving a signal by the computer's OS. Only some of the most expensive gaming keyboards can feature such characteristics, but there is several times less functionality. Those keyboards are less ergonomic, and they are not split.

Our Keyboard OS is a perfect solution for non-separate keyboards since, in our case, each half is a full-fledged keyboard.

If you are a manufacturer, feel free to contact us, and we will try to do our best to provide detailed information about our Keyboard OS. You will be able to adjust our Keyboard OS to your particular keyboard easily.

Do not hesitate and grab your ultimate chance of trying our unique Keyboard OS right now. Contact us right now, and became the best together!

The moment has come to change the world for the better.
